Massachusetts Technology Corporation ("MTC"), the operator of this website: www.hirebio.com ("Site"), has created this privacy statement in order to demonstrate our firm commitment to privacy. The following discloses our information gathering and dissemination practices for the Site.
Our registration form for hireBio requires users ("Users") to give us contact information (like their name and email address), unique identifiers (e.g. a unique User ID), and demographic information (such as their zip code, work experience and education). The User's contact information is used to contact the User when necessary via email or regular mail. We also use User information in order to create a User Profile for each User. User Profile information is used by us and our Member Clients ("Clients") to match opportunities that are listed by Client Users with the appropriate firms and their representatives. The User profile information includes information regarding a User's education, work history, skills, and examples of past work. The rest of the User contact information which a User submits during the registration process includes User's name, address, phone number, fax number, email address and website. Users may opt-out of receiving future mailings from us at any time; see the choice/opt-out section below.
Employers and/or third-party recruitment agencies ("Clients") may have access to your name, address, phone number and employment history (your resume) for the sole purpose of contacting you for upcoming employment opportunities. You have the option of determining whether they have access to this information. Unless you have disclosed your email address to them previously, Clients must send emails to you through their hireBio account, and are not able to view your actual email address. Your profile's email address is not viewable by, shared with, or sold to outside parties, including clients, advertisers, users or partners.
Unique identifiers (such as the unique user ID) are collected for use as account numbers in our record system. Demographic and profile data is also collected at our Site. We use this data to tailor the user's experience at our Site, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according to their preferences. This information is shared with advertisers and other third parties on an aggregate basis only. Data regarding a users account profile, experience and activity will only be shared with third parties on an aggregate basis, with the exception of our Clients.
Although our partners have contractually agreed not to sell, disclose, transfer or rent any individually identifiable data about you without your prior consent, we cannot guarantee that any third party will protect your personal information or privacy and suggest you review the particular partner's privacy statement to better understand their policies for protecting your privacy.
Our Site uses an order form for Clients to request services, as well as for Users to request certain additional services. At times, we may collect Clients or Users financial information to process payment. This may include information such as credit card numbers that will allow for payment of services and as a measure of convenience for repeated use of the service. Any financial information that is collected is used solely to bill the user for products and services and is never disclosed to any third party, with the exception of the financial institutions involved, or law enforcement agencies if we are required to do so.
